Alan Braxe s'appelle en fait Alain Quême, ce pseudo de BRAXE vient du nom de la ville où il résidait : BRAX, dans le Sud de la France. Il a fait son apparition sur le label de THOMAS BANGALTER (Roulé) avec un maxi "Vertigo" en 1997 puis il a monté avec Thomas et Benjamin Cohen (futur BENJAMIN DIAMOND) pour LE tube house de l'histoire : "Music Sounds Better With You" sous le pseudo STARDUST qui s'est d'ailleurs vendu à plus d'un million d'exemplaires, c'était en 1998. Puis, il a fait quelques remixes, et a fini par monter son propre label VULTURE, sur lequel il sort ses productions avec Fred Falke, un ami bassiste et leur premier track "Intro" s'est vendu à 400 000 exemplaires, un score remarquable pour un single sorti avec l'aide d'une distribution indépendante ...

Alan Braxe's real name is Alain Queme. His BRAXE nickname comes from the name of the town where he lived : BRAX, in the South of the France. He appeared for the 1st time on THOMAS BANGALTER's label (Roulé) in 1997 with a 12" called "Vertigo". After that, he founded a band called "Stardust" with Thomas and Benjamin Cohen (who will become BENJAMIN DIAMOND) in 1998 for the biggest track in the House Music story : "Music Sounds Better With You", 1 000 000 copies were sold. Then, he made some remixes & founded his own record label called VULTURE, he released his stuff with Fred Falke, Alain's friend who is a bass player. Their 1st release ("RUNNING" which contains "INTRO") was such a very successfull in the underground network that you could find it on CD in the shops, 6 months later (this CD got into the most european countries charts) ...
