| Si Nicolas Chaix alias I:CUBE apparaît sur ce site, c'est tout d'abord parce que les DAFT PUNK l'ont propulsé, lui et le label VERSATILE, grâce à leur remix de son track "DISCOCUBIZM". Mais c'est avant tout parce qu'il possède un énorme talent, qui exprimé en 2 albums ("Picnic Attack" et "Adore"), a fait l'unanimité dans le milieu de la musique électronique. Auparavant, Nicolas, qui l'a découverte par le biais de la radio, a envoyé ses démos à NOVA. GILB'R, programmateur de cette radio et qui était en train de monter le label VERSATILE a été fasciné par ses travaux. Tout en étant influencé par la techno de Détroit, l'électronica barrée, la house, le jazz et le funk, I:CUBE produit un son intimiste, dépouillé et original. Il a également d'autres projets dont FACEBALL 2000 qui est un versant plus dance-floor de sa musique et CHATEAU FLIGHT qui est une collaboration entre lui et GILB'R, une réunion qui va encore plus loin dans l'expérimentation ... If Nicolas Chaix aka I:CUBE appears in this site, it's because DAFT PUNK boosted his career & VERSATILE record label thanks to their remix of his "DISCOCUBIZM" track. But the main reason of this choice was made for his big talent, expressed in two albums ("Picnic Attack" & "Adore") which became classical electronic music pieces. Before, Nicolas, which discovered it thanks to the radio, sent his demos to NOVA. GILB'R, who was the musical programmer of this radio was fascinated by Nicolas' works. Despite of his influences (Detroit techno, crazy electronica, house music, jazz & funk), I:CUBE produces an intimate, minimalist & original sound. He has other projects like FACEBALL 2000, which is a dance-floor side of his music & CHATEAU FLIGHT which is a collaboration of I:CUBE & GILB'R, a reunion which pushes the experimentation further ... |
