VINYL FEVER est un groupe composé des frères Ali et Farid Allalou - Dirty Ali & Funky Farid - et nous viennent de Toulouse. Auparavant, ils animaient une émission sur une radio toulousaine (FMR) dont les studios se situent en-dessous d'une discothèque appelée Le Bikini ... C'est alors qu'ils rencontrent Gilb'R, boss du grand label parisien VERSATILE qui voulait alors créer une subdivison dance-floor appelée DISCOTHEQUE. Gilb'R signe alors leur premier EP sur ce label à la mi-99 ... Puis les deux frères, en entendant le maxi de FUNK LEGACY (voir la rubrique MODJO), décident de contacter le label VERTIGO qui sort 3 titres sur le maxi "Times & Places" vers le début 2000. Ali & Farid continuent en sortant sur CRYDAMOURE avant l'été 2000, un autre maxi sous le nom de THE ETERNALS, qui est une collaboration entre Ali + Farid et Specht Henning (alias Monsieur Club) - ce dernier fait partie du groupe Hypnolove qui sort des maxis sur le label CONFUSION ou RECORD MAKERS, le label de AIR. Plus tard, ils rencontrent ALAN BRAXE (vivant depuis pas mal de temps à Toulouse) qui leur présente BENJAMIN DIAMOND, qui leur signera plusieurs disques sur son label DIAMOND TRAXX ... Enfin, depuis début 2002, on a pu découvrir la collaboration explosive d'Ali et Farid avec MADJI'K sous le nom de THE ALTERED BEAST.

The studios were under a disco (Le Bikini) ... Then, they met Gilb'R, who is the boss of the great parisian label VERSATILE, he wanted to create a dance-floor subdivision (DISCOTHEQUE). At the middle of 99, Gilb'R decided to release their 1st EP ... After that, the two brothers lstened to the EP of FUNK LEGACY (see MODJO section), & wanted to get in touch with VERTIGO label. They released "Times & Places" at the beginning of 2000. Ali & Farid released "Wrath Of Zeus" on CRYDAMOURE before the summer of 2000 under the name of THE ETERNALS, which is a collaboration between Ali + Farid & Specht Henning (aka Monsieur Club) - this guy belongs to the Hypnolove group which releases EPs on CONFUSION label or AIR's RECORD MAKERS label. Later, Ali & Farid met ALAN BRAXE (who lives for a long time in Toulouse). Thanx to him, the brothers meet BENJAMIN DIAMOND who will release numerous EPs on DIAMOND TRAXX ... Finally, since 2002, we can discover the explosive collaboration of Ali & Farid with MADJI'k under THE ALTERED BEAST's name.
